The Al-Fakhoura school, operated by UNRWA in northern Gaza, was hit on the same day, November 18, 2023. This school was a refuge for thousands of displaced Palestinians. The airstrike resulted in over 200 casualties, many of whom were women and children. The severity of the damage and the high number of casualties made this one of the deadliest attacks on civilian shelters during the conflict.
