The Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza was targeted in a nighttime airstrike on December 24, 2023. The attack hit residential areas crowded with displaced families seeking shelter. Approximately 70 civilians were killed, including numerous women and children. The destruction caused widespread homelessness and added to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
